I’m not looking forward to some steps I have to take.

For Heaven’s sake.

First to the souvenir shop to make a drop.

Then to the bank, get something done.

No rain, no sun.

Walk, don’t run.

I am a one man cartel.

I do not sell.

I am not responsible for sunshine.

That is not mine.

Nor rain, nor snow.

Which are essential, you know.

I did not make Ireland green.

Nor pornography obscene.

Just what am I responsible for, you may ask?

Wait ‘til I fulfil my task.

Then I may say, don’t ask.

If its all the same to you I have other things to do.

Here’s looking at you.

A Leaf

A leaf is a natural thing, it grows.

So are rain and snows.

Natural things are best, at night I rest.

I used to like to swim, I walk.

I like talk.

Sometimes nature can be wild and cold.

It is natural to grow old.

I like leaves on trees and trees when they are bare.

Goodness everywhere.

Green grass, blue skies.

Nature does not tell lies.

Nature is preferred by the wise.

I thought I’d sing a song of harmony.

A poet loves a tree.

And a cup of tea.

To see something natural in the world is good.

Not plastic, wood.

At least its not raining, thank God for small mercies.

I don’t need to say so many cursies.

Things could be better, they could be worse.

Will I curse in this verse?

A rude word never passed my lips.

If you believe that you believe a snake has hips.

Sunshine smiled on me today when the showers went away.

I was happy and content, is this what the weather meant?

Forget the rain, forget the snow, what wind may come, what breezes blow.

I am happy here below.
