You overcame vicissitudes, you showed them what was what.

You weren’t the best, you weren’t the worst, I knew you, thanks a lot.

You gave a laugh, you raised a laugh, sometimes at yourself.

We did not know to laugh or cry when you came off the shelf.

You certainly could play guitar, you sang sometimes, a note.

You added gaiety and joy, your life you never wrote.

Your obituary sings high praise.

It leaves out laughter, happy days.
