Waiting In Line

I wait in the café to order coffee, they’re all busy.

Working behind the counter would make me dizzy.

Should I bother, I wondered, to write this rhyme?

Filling in time.

It’s a lovely day, I wait outside, okay.

My coffee has not come, it will be my second, must I wait till kingdom come?

What rhymes with rum?

I reminded someone, its lunch hour, peak time.

It has arrived, I end my rhyme.
